Removal Man/Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Removal person to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the safe and efficient transportation of goods, furniture, and equipment. This role requires a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle heavy lifting and manoeuvring items of various sizes. Experience in commercial driving, warehouse operations, or delivery driving is highly desirable. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on customer satisfaction and safety.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload items onto lorries, ensuring secure placement for transit
• Assist in the transportation of furniture, appliances, and other large items to designated locations
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules and special instructions
• Assist with organising warehouse stock and preparing items for removal or delivery
• Ensure all items are handled with care to prevent damage during loading, transit, and unloading
• Proven experience in driving commercial vehicles, particularly luton vans
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record, (no more than 3 points)
• Previous experience as a delivery driver or in warehouse operations is advantageous
• Strong physical fitness for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks
• Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Organised approach to managing schedules and ensuring timely deliveries or removals
• Must be flexible on timings when a job may need to run over scheduled finish time, (overtime rate will be applicable)
