JS Moves is a growing removals company specialising in residential and commercial removals, house clearances, furniture transportation and packing services.

Due to increasing demand, we are currently recruiting hardworking and enthusiastic Removal Porters to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with loading and unloading removal vehicles.
• Safely lift, carry and transport furniture, boxes and household belongings.
• Handle customers' possessions carefully and respectfully.
• Assist with packing and wrapping furniture and fragile items.
• Dismantle and reassemble furniture when required.
• Help protect customers' properties and belongings from damage during removals.
• Assist with house clearances and commercial removals.
• Work alongside drivers and other porters to ensure jobs are completed efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation within removal vehicles.
• Follow all manual handling and health and safety procedures.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service.
• Travel to different locations throughout London and nationwide.

Requirements

Essential:

• Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual handling and heavy lifting safely.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work well within a team.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Respectful of customers' homes and personal belongings.
• Flexible availability, including occasional weekends and early mornings.
• Willingness to travel nationwide when required.

Desirable:

• Previous experience in removals, warehouse work, furniture delivery or similar roles.
• Experience dismantling and assembling furniture.
• Knowledge of safe manual handling techniques.
• Full UK driving licence (advantageous but not essential).

No previous removals experience is necessary, as guidance and training can be provided to the right candidate.

Additional Information

This is a physically demanding position involving regular lifting, carrying and moving furniture and household belongings.

Candidates must be comfortable working in different environments, including properties with stairs and limited access.
