Summary

As a Dietitian at Advent, you will play a vital role in assessing and planning nutritional care for our patients undergoing dialysis. This position is essential in promoting optimal health outcomes and supporting our commitment to patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for patients with chronic kidney disease.
• Develop individualized dietary plans that align with each patient’s medical needs and preferences.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting dietary recommendations as necessary.
• Provide education and counseling on nutrition, including tube feeding and weight management strategies.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure integrated patient care.
• Supervise dietary staff and assist in training new team members on best practices in dietetics.
• Stay updated on the latest research and guidelines in renal nutrition to provide evidence-based recommendations.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required.
• Experience in dietetics, particularly in acute care or dialysis settings preferred.
• Strong knowledge of geriatric nutrition and physiology related to chronic kidney disease.
• Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and team collaboration.
• Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations and develop tailored dietary interventions.
• Supervisory experience is a plus but not mandatory.
