Renewable Commercial Project Manager

About the role

You will own delivery of commercial solar, battery and EV charging projects from contract award to handover, keeping every job safe, compliant, on time and on budget.

Key responsibilities

• Run projects from contract award: programmes, and scheduling of crews, subcontractors and deliveries
• Coordinate Western Power, council and structural approvals with the engineering team
• Manage procurement of panels, inverters, batteries, EV chargers and switchgear
• Track budgets, margins, variations and invoicing, and keep the project cost tracker up to date
• Be the main client contact and report project status to the Commercial Director
• Manage subcontractor performance and resolve site issues and defects
• Make sure works meet Australian Standards and network requirements, and close out compliance and handover documentation
• Work with the safety team to enforce site safety, and carry out occasional site inspections and quality checks
• Support quoting, budgeting and new project opportunities

About you

• A minimum of 2 years managing commercial electrical, solar, battery or EV charging projects
• A project management qualification, or equivalent experience
• MS Project, JobTread, Excel and Microsoft 365
• A current driver's licence, own vehicle and Australian working rights
• Strong organisation, negotiation and communication skills
• Nice to have : Working knowledge of AS/NZS 3000, 3008, 5033, 5139 and 4777, and Western Power requirements
• Nice to have : Sound WHS knowledge and a current White Card
• Nice to have : Electrical licence, SAA accreditation
