Rental Operations Manager

Job Overview

We are looking for an organised and commercially minded Rental Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day rental activities, customer service and operational performance. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys coordinating people, assets and schedules while ensuring rental services run smoothly, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily rental operations, bookings, availability and asset allocation.
• Coordinate staff, suppliers, transport providers and external contractors.
• Monitor rental inventory, asset condition, returns and maintenance requirements.
• Ensure customers receive timely and professional service throughout the rental process.
• Track operational performance, costs and rental activity to identify improvements.
• Resolve customer, scheduling and operational issues efficiently.
• Maintain accurate rental records, contracts, inspection reports and operational documentation.
• Ensure operations follow company procedures, health and safety requirements and relevant regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in rental operations, fleet management, logistics, property services or a similar operational role.
• Experience coordinating teams, assets, suppliers or customer-facing operations.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Good commercial awareness and understanding of operational costs.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
• Comfortable using spreadsheets, booking systems and standard business software.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• A practical, reliable and customer-focused approach to work.

Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
