Rental Service Agent

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and task-focused Rental Service Agent to join our team! This role is responsible for cleaning, inspecting, and preparing rental vehicles to meet company quality, safety, and appearance standards. The Rental Service Agent plays a key part in delivering a positive customer experience by ensuring vehicles are clean, well-maintained, and ready for rental in a timely manner. Our team is contracted by Avis & Budget to run their operation at the Charlottesville Airport.

Duties

• Clean and detail the interior and exterior of rental vehicles
• Vacuum interiors, wash windows, sanitize surfaces, and remove debris
• Wash, dry, and fuel vehicles according to company standards
• Inspect vehicles for cleanliness, damage, and maintenance needs
• Report any vehicle damage or mechanical concerns promptly
• Transport vehicles safely between cleaning areas, parking locations, and rental facilities
• Maintain adequate supplies of cleaning materials and equipment
• Follow safety procedures and proper handling of cleaning chemicals
• Meet productivity and turnaround time standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Previous cleaning, detailing, or automotive service experience is a plus
• Ability to operate vehicles safely and responsibly
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks
