REPAIR & MAINTENANCE PLANNER

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Repair & Maintenance Planner to join GESTOWN CONSTRUCTION SDN BHD. This is a full-time position based in Bintulu, Sarawak, where you will play a crucial role in coordinating and optimising our maintenance operations. As a Repair & Maintenance Planner, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive maintenance schedules, managing resources efficiently, and ensuring that all equipment and infrastructure are maintained to the highest standards. This position is integral to our operations, helping to minimise downtime, reduce costs, and maintain safety standards across all our facilities.

What you'll be doing

1. Develop and maintain detailed preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for all equipment and infrastructure
2. Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure timely execution of maintenance tasks and repairs
3. Monitor equipment performance and identify potential issues before they become critical problems
4. Manage maintenance budgets and track expenditure to ensure cost-effectiveness
5. Prepare maintenance reports and analyse performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
6. Liaise with equipment suppliers and external contractors to arrange necessary repairs and servicing
7. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, spare parts inventory, and equipment history
8. Prioritise maintenance work orders based on operational urgency and resource availability
9. Conduct site inspections to assess maintenance requirements and plan accordingly
10. Support the development and implementation of maintenance best practices and standard operating procedures

What we're looking for

1. Diploma or degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related field
2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, or a similar role
3. Strong knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance strategies
4. Proficiency in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office applications
5. Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
7. Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
8. Understanding of safety regulations and best practices in industrial environments
9. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate documentation
10. Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel as required
11. Preferred experience in construction, heavy equipment, or industrial maintenance sectors
