What they need
Mid Valley Diesel and Automotive is looking for a Repair Scheduling Coordinator to help manage appointments and keep work moving through our diesel and automotive repair operations.
You'll be an important connection between customers, technicians, and the service team, helping make sure repairs are scheduled realistically and everyone knows what comes next.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Schedule diesel, automotive, and fleet maintenance appointments.
- Organize incoming repair requests and record important vehicle information.
- Coordinate repair schedules with technicians and service personnel.
- Track vehicle status and update schedules as work progresses.
- Communicate appointment availability and estimated timelines to customers.
- Adjust schedules when urgent repairs, delays, or unexpected work arise.
- Help coordinate follow-up repairs and return visits.
- Monitor parts availability and communicate scheduling needs to the appropriate team members.
- Maintain accurate appointment records, work orders, and customer information.
- Follow up on pending repairs and help prevent jobs from being overlooked.
- Assist with coordinating preventive maintenance appointments for fleet customers.
- Keep customers and internal staff informed when schedules or repair timelines change.
What Will Help You Succeed
We're looking for candidates with 1–2 years of experience in scheduling, service coordination, dispatching, automotive service, fleet maintenance administration, or a similar role.
You should be comfortable handling several tasks at once, speaking with customers, and staying organized when priorities shift.
Experience with automotive or diesel repair scheduling is helpful, but not required. Candidates from transportation, equipment service, HVAC, and other scheduling-intensive businesses are welcome.
Basic computer skills and experience with scheduling software, spreadsheets, or service management systems are important.
A Good Fit for This Role
You don't need to be a mechanic, but you should enjoy learning how things work and understanding what a repair team needs to stay productive.
We're looking for someone who notices the details, follows up without being reminded, and understands that good scheduling makes a difference for both customers and technicians.
