Job Summary

Garry Skaggs Appliance Service is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and service-focused Appliance Repair Service Worker to support residential appliance repair and maintenance operations. This role assists with appliance inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, service calls, tool and parts preparation, and professional customer assistance.

Responsibilities

• Inspect household appliances to identify repair and maintenance needs.
• Assist with troubleshooting and basic appliance diagnostics.
• Support appliance repairs, maintenance, installations, and service calls.
• Prepare tools, replacement parts, equipment, and materials for scheduled jobs.
• Safely use hand tools and service equipment according to instructions.
• Assist with removing, replacing, and installing appliance components.
• Follow repair procedures, manufacturer guidelines, and workplace safety standards.
• Test appliances after service to help ensure proper operation.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
• Handle tools, parts, equipment, and customer property carefully and professionally.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and organizing service equipment and materials.
• Communicate parts, equipment, and service needs to supervisors or technicians.
• Document completed service work and report repair-related information accurately.
• Provide courteous and professional assistance to customers during service visits.
• Help maintain organized inventory of tools, parts, and service supplies.
• Keep service vehicles, tools, and equipment organized when assigned.
• Report equipment issues, maintenance needs, or safety concerns promptly.
• Perform other appliance repair and service duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous appliance repair, maintenance, mechanical, electrical, technical, or service experience is preferred but not required.
• Basic familiarity with hand tools and service equipment is helpful.
• Willingness to learn appliance repair and troubleshooting procedures.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and responsible work habits.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to follow technical instructions, safety procedures, and manufacturer guidelines.

Pay: $21.02 - $22.71 per hour
