Role Description This on-site Reporter internship role is based in Delhi, OH. The Reporter intern will support the newsroom by identifying story ideas, conducting interviews, gathering information, and producing news content under supervision. Day-to-day tasks include attending events, verifying facts, drafting news articles, and assisting with multimedia elements such as photos or short video clips. The intern will collaborate with editors and other team members to refine stories and ensure adherence to editorial standards. This is an internship role designed to provide hands-on experience and mentoring in a professional news environment.

Qualifications

• Strong reporting skills, including interviewing, fact-gathering, and source development.
• Clear and accurate writing abilities, with a focus on news writing and storytelling.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with sources and colleagues.
• Basic multimedia skills, such as handling photos, audio, or video to support news content.

• Interest in local news and community issues, especially in and around Delhi, OH.
• Current enrollment in or recent completion of a program in journalism, communications, media studies, or a related field is preferred.
