Reporting Analyst

This role partners across Technology, Finance, and Procurement to deliver data-driven insights, business cases, and executive-level reporting that influence technology spend, vendor strategy, and portfolio priorities.

This is a long term contract that is hybrid 3 days per week in Downtown Chicago

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze technology investments, budgets, forecasts, and capital expenditures.
• Build financial models and business cases for technology initiatives and vendor decisions.
• Develop executive presentations and reports on technology usage, demand, costs, and strategic opportunities.
• Leverage Power BI, SQL, Excel, and other analytics tools to provide actionable insights.
• Partner with Technology, Finance, and Procurement teams to drive productivity, automation, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Lead ad hoc analyses and special projects supporting technology leadership.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis, business consulting, strategic analysis, or management reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills.
• Experience presenting insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Advanced proficiency in Power BI, SQL, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and accounting principles.
• Pay around $40-45/hr
