Reports Analyst

Reporting analysts help drive critical business decisions by analyzing metrics and designing reports. You must have the ability to consolidate data and create reporting with analysis to provide data driven insight into the business. That requires the ability to investigate and understand business metrics and needed outcomes as well as varied data sources. The ability to work with a team to understand business needs and objectives and independently understand, review and derive insights from the data are a must. The reporting developer analyst must be self managed and self driven with excellent communication skills to both work with the team to identify business needs and communicate analysis results.

Responsibilities for Reporting Analyst

● Design business reporting and data systems for use throughout the company for a

specified timeframe as needed.

● Provide analysis of the reporting out outputs to assist the business in data driven

decisions.

● Maintain data processes that may include MS Access (SQL optional) and Excel as data

processing/reporting programs.

● Improve current data reporting process and accuracy to reduce labor needed within the

organization.

● Allow for easy updates with competing priorities from our client base.

● Maintain audit and review processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting and

analytics

● Guide the business in reporting structure and analytics to maximize performance.

● Communicate the results of data analysis in written and verbal form to managers

● Support various departments, including operations and client services in reaching their

goals through systems, tools, and analysis

● Monitor data to identify changes and trends

● Helps support staff in operations to automate, if not all, some of the manual reports that

the supervisors are maintaining

● Helps Operations maintain reporting on staffing, forecasting, attendance and hours

tracking

Qualifications for Reporting Analyst

● One to three years of experience as a reporting, systems, or business analyst

● Analytical skills that allow for the development of data-driven reports/ tools and systems

development

● Demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize projects to meet deadlines

● Preferred advanced skills in SQL, MS Access and MS Excel.

● Preferred: Experience in creating business trend presentations with insights for monthly

and quarterly reviews.

● Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively relate data to coworkers

● Excellent critical thinking skills to help solve business problems and make decisions

● Tendency to pay close attention to small details that could impact results

● General knowledge of business operations, objectives, strategies, process, and

information flow

● Ability to review data sources and analyze them to identify the right metrics and

questions to guide the business in reporting an analytics.

● Can work graveyard shift and schedule flexibility if needed
