Responsibilities

• Initiate contact with customers via phone and written communication to discuss overdue accounts and arrange for asset recovery.
• Negotiate repayment plans or asset repossession terms while maintaining compliance with debt collection laws and industry regulations.
• Conduct thorough account analysis using Excel data analysis skills to identify delinquent accounts and prioritize recovery efforts.
• Manage repossession processes by coordinating with third-party vendors, law enforcement, and internal teams to facilitate asset retrieval efficiently.
• Handle confidential information with integrity, ensuring compliance with consumer protection laws and financial regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate records of all communications, transactions, and legal documentation related to repossession activities.
• Reconcile accounts receivable and account analysis data regularly to monitor recovery progress and improve collection strategies.

Requirements

• Proven experience in debt collection negotiation, accounts receivable management, or repossession roles within the financial industry.
• Strong knowledge of consumer protection laws, financial regulations, and compliance standards relevant to debt collection and asset recovery.
• Excellent phone etiquette combined with effective telemarketing and client communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and account reconciliation; familiarity with accounting software is a plus.
• Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while demonstrating strong attention to detail in account analysis and data entry.
• Solid understanding of financial concepts such as debits & credits, revenue cycle management, and the use of financial software tools.
• Exceptional negotiation skills paired with effective phone communication abilities to resolve delinquent accounts professionally.
