Require a Systems Administrator in Harare

Manage, maintain and support Council ICT infrastructure, systems and applications.

Administer servers, networks, databases, user accounts and ICT resources.

Ensure system availability, security, reliability and optimal performance.

Develop and implement ICT administration policies, procedures and standards.

Manage user access, permissions and security controls.

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot technical problems.

Coordinate system backups, data recovery and disaster recovery processes.

Safeguard Council data and information systems.

Supervise and provide technical guidance to ICT staff.

Coordinate system upgrades, installations and maintenance.

Liaise with ICT service providers and stakeholders.

Provide technical support to Council departments.

Prepare ICT reports and advise management.

Ensure compliance with ICT legislation, policies and Council procedures.

Identify ICT risks and implement appropriate safeguards.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or a related field.

Relevant professional ICT certification is an added advantage.

At least 3 years’ relevant post-qualification experience in systems administration, network administration or ICT infrastructure management, preferably in a supervisory capacity.

Experience managing servers, networks, databases, operating systems and enterprise ICT environments.

Experience in ICT security, backup and disaster recovery.

Knowledge of local authority operations and public-sector ICT systems is an added advantage.

Clean Class 4 driver’s licence.
