Requirements Engineer - Automotive Diagnostics

What To Expect

• Elicitation, analysis, and documentation of diagnostic requirements
• Definition and maintenance of functional and technical requirements for vehicle diagnostics and ECUs
• Coordination of requirements with development, systems engineering, testing, and other stakeholders
• Specification and coordination of diagnostic functions such as DTCs, diagnostic services, data identifiers, and routines
• Ensuring requirements traceability and consistency throughout the development lifecycle
• Participation in requirements reviews and technical clarification meetings
• Analysis and coordination of change requests and requirement dependencies

What You Bring Along

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field
• Experience in Requirements Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Automotive Diagnostics
• Good understanding of vehicle diagnostics and ECU communication
• Knowledge of UDS and relevant diagnostic standards
• Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS, DOORS Next, Polarion, or Jira
• Strong analytical and structured working style
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
• Very good English skills; German is an advantage
• Knowledge of CAN, CAN FD, DoCAN, and/or DoIP
• Experience with diagnostic tools and databases
• Knowledge of Automotive SPICE (ASPICE)
• Understanding of E/E architectures and ECU networks
• Experience in automotive software development and testing
• Analytical and systematic thinking
• Structured and independent working style
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Solution-oriented approach
• Ability to understand and communicate complex technical topics
• High quality awareness and sense of responsibility
