You will ensure applicable NTSNs, National Technical Rules, interoperability constituent requirements and authorisation obligations are identified, verified and evidenced throughout the project lifecycle against Client-agreed baselines. Working closely with engineering teams and suppliers, you will embed these requirements and develop a complete, auditable evidence base to support assessment, authorisation and entry into service.

You’ll make a difference by

  • Identifying, interpreting and managing applicable NTSN, NTR and interoperability requirements.
  • Maintaining the register of applicable NTSN baselines and assess the impact of legislative, regulatory and standards changes on project compliance and authorisation activities.
  • Developing and maintaining the Interoperability Compliance Matrix relevant to Siemens scope.
  • Monitoring compliance status and coordinate actions required to address compliance gaps.
  • Working collaboratively with design, systems engineering, integration, verification, validation, testing and commissioning teams to identify, obtain and maintain the evidence required to demonstrate compliance.

Your role profile may vary from time to time in accordance with business needs. Your annual objective setting with your line manager will outline any additional responsibilities required to meet business or individual development needs for the forthcoming financial year.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Experience in railway interoperability, systems engineering or assurance, ideally within major rail infrastructure projects (Desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of National NTSNs, NTRs and railway assessment and authorisation processes.
  • Ability to coordinate verification and validation activities and compile complete, auditable evidence to demonstrate compliance.
  • Ability to manage derogations, departures, compliance risks, issues and assessment body actions through to resolution.
