Research Analyst - Personal AI device

Counterpoint is a fast-growing global industry analysis firm and a trusted adviser to the high-tech industry, known for developing talented analysts into recognized thought leaders in their domains.

Our China research team is looking for an experienced analyst to support our consumer electronics market research, spanning AI wearables (XR, AI Glasses) and smartphone.

The focus of this role is to track AI-powered devices and related ecosystems from a professional market research perspective. You will contribute to our proprietary databases, conduct market studies, and independently take on a range of responsibilities, including report development, database maintenance, client engagement and presentations, building a network across the supply chain, and supporting regular and ad hoc research projects.

The role will involve:

· Analyze and process relevant data and information for maintenance and integration into our

proprietary databases.

· Contribute to industry research activities, including custom research projects, regular research programs, research blogs, reports, and white papers, while collaborating with various internal teams.

· Maintain frequent communication with industry stakeholders, track key drivers and inhibitors in the AI device market, and assess their impact on broader industry trends.

· Assist senior analysts in business development activities, including responding to client inquiries and supporting client presentations.

· Collaborate with the Marketing team to promote our services, communicate industry insights,

and build personal industry visibility and influence through a range of marketing activities.

Key Skills/Experience Required:

· Bachelor’s degree or above with 3+ years of relevant work experience in technology, telecoms, internet, media, or finance sectors.

· Proven experience in major OEMs/ODMs, supply chain players or research agencies within

the smartphone, wearables, semiconductor, or broader consumer electronics industry (strongly preferred).

· Engineering or financial educational background is a plus.

· Strong cross-cultural communication skills with excellent writing and problem-solving abilities in English and Mandarin Chinese.

· Strong client service mindset and teamwork spirit.

· Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
