Research & Development Engineer (Medical Device)

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate and coordinate directly with surgeons and other medical professionals to gather clinical needs and treatment-related insights in orthopedic surgery.
• Conduct literature reviews and search for relevant technical and medical information, including journal articles, published papers, and clinical references that support product development.
• Analyze and consolidate information obtained from physicians and academic sources, then communicate the key findings to the Design Engineering team for further product development.
• Support the development of new product concepts and the improvement of existing products using clinical input and evidence-based references.
• Work cross-functionally with Design, Quality, Regulatory, and other related teams to ensure project objectives are achieved efficiently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong capability in information research, academic reading, and paper review.
• Strong communication and coordination skills, especially when working with surgeons and engineering teams.
• Simulation expertise is not required for this position.
• Knowledge of medical science, orthopedic procedures, or ISO 13485 is highly preferred.
• Expert in English (TOEIC required 600)
