Research and Development Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for an experienced R&D Manager to lead product development, formulation, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives within the dairy and ice cream industry.

The role will develop new products, flavors, concepts, and prototypes while providing technical support to customers, Sales, and internal teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead new product development, formulation, reformulation, and product improvement projects.

• Develop new concepts, flavors, prototypes, and technical solutions based on business and customer requirements.

• Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and product innovation

• Provide technical support for product presentations, trials, troubleshooting, customer visits, and product testing.

• Manage projects from laboratory development through production implementation and launch.

• Collaborate with Commercial, Sales, Production, Engineering, Regulatory, and Supply Chain teams.

• Prepare technical reports, risk assessments, project documentation, and R&D presentations.

• Lead, coach, and develop the R&D team while monitoring performance and project objectives.

• Ensure compliance with applicable food safety, quality, regulatory, and Halal requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant R&D/product development experience.
• Experience in dairy, ice cream, food manufacturing, or FMCG is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of product formulation, food safety, quality assurance, and local food regulations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and technical report preparation.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Detail-oriented, process-driven, and able to work under pressure.
• Willing to travel or provide on-site technical support when required.
