Research and Development Manager

About the role

Lead the research, design, and development of innovative food products, ingredients, and formulations based on market trends, customer trends, and company objectives. Oversee the creation and refinement of formulations of sweeteners, bakery ingredients, confectionery components, and other food-grade products aligned with the company's portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Lead research, design, and development of innovative food products, ingredients, and formulations based on market trends, customer trends, and company objectives
• Oversee creation and refinement of formulations of sweeteners, bakery ingredients, confectionery components, and other food-grade products
• Product design, testing, and process optimization
• Food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
• Reporting and documentation
• Customer and technical support
• Cross-functional collaboration and market alignment
• Act as an internal auditor on guidelines set by standards and perform audits under the direction of a Lead Auditor
• Participate in meetings and trainings related to product development, food safety, regulatory compliance, innovation strategies, and cross-functional coordination

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in product development or R&D in the food industry
• Experience in managing teams and cross-functional projects
• Proficient in MS Office (MS Excel)
• Master's degree or further studies in R&D Management or Product Innovation is an advantage
• Background in food ingredients (e.g., sweeteners, starches, bakery additives) preferred
