Research and Development- QA/QC

The R&D QA/QC supports the Research and Development team in developing, testing, and improving paint and coating formulations. The role involves laboratory work, sample preparation, testing, documentation, and coordination with QA/QC and Production to ensure product quality and innovation.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of paint formulations, lab batches, and test samples
• Conduct basic laboratory tests (viscosity, density, pH, gloss, drying time, adhesion, color matching)
• Prepare test panels and perform application tests (brush, roller, spray)
• Accurately record test results and observations in R&D logs and databases
• Support R&D Chemists in trials, experiments, and product improvement projects
• Handle, label, and store raw materials and chemicals properly
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of the R&D laboratory
• Assist in investigation of product complaints and formulation issues
• Coordinate with QA/QC for sample testing and validation
• Help in pilot runs and scale-up trials with Production
• Prepare samples for customer evaluations and approvals
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related course
• Fresh graduates are welcome; experience in paint or coatings is an advantage
• Basic knowledge of paint raw materials and laboratory testing methods
• Ability to follow formulations, SOPs, and safety procedures
• Good documentation and reporting skills
• Detail-oriented, organized, and willing to learn
• Able to work independently and as part of a team

Pay: Php19,000.00 - Php22,000.00 per month
