Research and Development Specialist

Research and Development Specialist(Refrigeration/Thermal Management/HVAC/Energy Efficiency Focus）

Location: Hong Kong

Responsibilities

·        Conduct innovative research on building air-conditioning systems and data center thermal management technologies。 This includes designing high-efficiency cooling systems, developing energy-saving products, and optimizing heat management strategies

·        Carry out experimental testing, data analysis, and prototype validation to explore novel cooling materials and solutions

·        Participate in cross-departmental collaborative projects, working with engineers and project management teams to advance technology implementation and industrialization

·        Capable of independently leading research projects while also integrating into team-based collaboration, driving the translation of scientific results into practical application solutions

Qualifications & Requirements

Mandatory：

·        You must possess a bachelor's degree (including top-up bachelor, a master degree or a doctoral degree of a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics ("STEM")-related discipline awarded by either a local university or a well-recognized non-local institution or jointly awarded by a local university together with a non-local university.

·        The degree must have been earned from a university ranked within the Top 100 in at least one of the following global university rankings：

o   Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU）

o   QS World University Rankings

o   Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings

o   U.S. News & World Report (USNWR) Global University Rankings

Preferred:

·        Two or more years of experience in a relevant industry technical/R&D role (e.g., refrigeration system design, thermal management, HVAC product optimization/development, energy-saving product development).

·        Basic English proficiency in reading and writing, with the ability to handle academic literature and technical reports effectively.

Additional Information

·        The primary working languages are Mandarin and English. Cantonese proficiency will be advantage but is not required.
