Research Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Report to team leader;
• Work with Analysis / QC Lab to assist in performing physical property measurements, materials analysis and chemical tests;
• Perform supervised experiments by accurately recording results and contributing to product formulation, quality testing, and improvement trials;
• Record experimental data and observations, and analyze results efficiently to prepare technical reports to support R&D findings;
• Maintain accurate laboratory documentation, and ensure all records comply with internal quality and compliance requirements;
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensure proper storage and handling of chemicals and samples;
• Follow all laboratory safety and chemical‑handling procedures, ensure a clean, safe, and well‑organized lab environment.
• Make good coordination with the team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Applied Chemistry or Chemical Engineering;
• Preferably 1 year of relevant working experience in a chemical company;
• Ability to follow SOPs, instructions, and safety procedures;
• Good documentation skills and high attention to details;
• Able to work on multiple projects and meet tight deadlines;·
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint & Word) preferably with scripting;
• Knowledge of electronic packaging industry (e.g. PCB, connector, lead frame) with hands-on experience in chemical operations and relevant industrial experience will be an advantage;
• Knowledge of ISO9000 procedure will be an added advantage;
• Able to accept flexible working schedule (e.g. Saturday and Sunday) with compensation leave;
• Based in Hong Kong with travel to PRC and occasional overseas travel when necessary.
