In the past 5 years significant expansion and change has occurred nationally in the field of clinical psychology training which requires evaluation to improve training delivery and develop the evidence base for effective clinical competence development in online and off-line training delivery.

The post holder will co-design and conduct research evaluations and audits to support the development of clinical training innovations related to; clinician recruitment, clinical supervision, curriculum design, teaching delivery, assessment of clinical, academic and research competences, diversity and inclusion. The post requires excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Applicants must hold a degree in Psychology, alongside and interest and competence in basic qualitative and quantitative research methods.

In 2026 the RHUL DClinPsy Programme had 60 commissioned places per cohort through its training contract with the Department of Health and Social Care. The RHUL DClinPsy is a large well-respected training programme with an existing BABCP CBT pathway and a Systemic pathway. The post-holder will join an innovative and supportive team of 20 clinical-academic staff with a range of expertise across child, adult, learning disability, health, older-adult and neuropsychology specialities.
