Job Summary

This position assists with CS research projects by supporting hardware and software design, testbed operations, monitoring systems, and preparing technical documentation. The role involves hands-on work in computer lab and research environments and requires strong technical skills and the ability to work independently.

Minimum and Desired Qualifications

Minimum Education Required:

• B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Engineering, or a closely related field

Required Qualifications:

• Enrolled in or graduate from MS programs in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline

• Strong academic standing

• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Python, Unix/Linux, C++ coding

• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, networking protocols, AI models, or embedded systems

• Prior research experience or hands-on work involving cybersecurity systems, FPGA design, or testbed environments

• Experience with automation technologies

• Strong technical writing skills for reports, documentation, and publications

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer or in a laboratory setting

• Capability to lift and carry materials or equipment weighing up to 25 lbs occasionally

• Visual acuity to read technical documents, system logs, and computer screens
