Research Coordinator

Job Summary
We are seeking a Research Coordinator to support a short-term, human-subjects research project involving qualitative interviews, an expert stakeholder review process, and a multi-rater reliability study. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role suited to someone who thrives owning end-to-end logistics on a lean research team. This is a fixed-term, part-time W-2 position expected to run approximately six months.

Key Responsibilities

• Own IRB submission and compliance. Lead all day-to-day IRB submission logistics, correspondence, and continuing review requirements for a human-subjects research study, with work beginning ahead of the formal project start to account for typical review timelines
• Recruit and schedule research participants, including interview participants and a diverse expert review panel, and manage all related logistics
• Coordinate a multi-rater research activity, including scheduling and supporting a team of trained raters through calibration and independent data collection
• Track project data flow and support timely handoff of collected data to the analysis team
• Maintain structured project documentation, including a log of methodological decisions and their rationale
• Manage participant and contributor payments, processing incentives and honoraria as needed
• Support general project logistics, including meeting coordination and correspondence across project staff

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social science research, public health, or a related field
• Demonstrated experience coordinating human-subjects research, including direct IRB submission experience
• Strong organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple concurrent recruitment and scheduling workstreams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable liaising with a wide range of stakeholders
• CITI human-subjects research training (or willingness to complete before project start)

Preferred:

• Familiarity with structured data capture platforms (e.g., REDCap)
• Experience coordinating multi-rater or inter-rater reliability studies
• Experience working within a small business or startup research environment

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
