Research Coordinator (Contract Full Time)

Overview

To support the principal investigators of clinical research studies by facilitating study matters to ensure proper conduct and implementation of all research activities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all study practices and procedures (e.g. Screening, recruitment, follow-up, specimen taking and collection, data entry) are conducted in accordance with the study protocol, Good Clinical Practice, other applicable regulatory/ethical requirements, standard operating procedures, and hospital policies.
• Be able to manage multiple projects, e.g. data collection, run simple statistic calculations etc), reporting/filing of data sheets on regular basis and to cater to specific study requirements as needed. (project by project basis)
• Ensure accurate and complete source documentation, subject logs, subject transport reimbursement logs, and all other pertinent research documents and ensure that they are audit compliant.
• Maintenance of files of completed projects.
• Maintain confidentiality with regard to patient information and other sensitive data.
• Coordinate and communicate with relevant internal and external agencies, study investigators and team members to facilitate projects as and when needed and ensure successful implementation of clinical studies.
• Coordinate in recruiting/consenting/ interim & final analysis/audits of projects as and when needed.
• Independent monitoring of the clinical projects to ensure timeline and deliverables are met.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisors, principal investigator and HOD including work areas not mentioned here.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing/Health Sciences or relevant fields
• Ability to perform phlebotomy preferred.
• Hands on experience with inpatient and/or clinic work processes preferred.
• Proficiency in MS office applications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to speak local languages is preferred
• Strong initiative and drive in a fast-paced setting
