The incumbent should have a background in cardiovascular physiology or neuroscience, a strong interest in generating hypotheses and addressing research questions of high complexity. Work will include formulation and testing of hypotheses using tools spanning gene targeting in the central nervous system (optogenetics, DREADD), targeting of specific neuronal networks using state-of-the-art approaches, cell culture, and data analysis. Preference will be given to individuals with expertise in inducible pluripotent stem cells (iPSC), organoids, gene targeting strategies, autonomic regulation, and other relevant methodologies.
