Research Program Coordinator

Role Overview

We are seeking a Research Program Coordinator based in Thailand to support FSAS’s expanding portfolio of research and collaboration in the region. This role is central to ensuring the success of multi-stakeholder projects through on-the-ground coordination, stakeholder engagement, and field support.

Job Description

• Coordinate and participate in meetings and research activities with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, academic institutions, and private/public organizations. Provide translation support as needed.
• Support and oversee data collection and management, including requesting datasets from agencies and facilitating field research in rural communities.
• Join FSAS research team field visits in Thailand (and potentially neighboring countries) and support logistics, translation, and local engagement.
• Identify and cultivate partnerships with potential collaborators in the water–agriculture–sustainability space. Assist in fundraising and proposal writing as needed.
• Prepare project reports, updates, and briefing materials to ensure smooth communication across the international research team and local stakeholders.

Qualification

• Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferred) in water resources management, agriculture, forestry, economics, management, data science, or a related field.
• Proven ability to interact with government agencies, research institutions, and private sector organizations.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Thai (spoken and written).
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-cultural, interdisciplinary team.
• Experience with fieldwork and data analysis (e.g., statistical or GIS tools).
• Prior work with rural communities and/or sustainability-focused initiatives.
