Research Scientist

Responsibilities:

1. Participate and assist in research projects in new drugs/medical devices development and assess new technologies
2. Research, develop and perform studies for drug formulation
3. Provide support to data collection and analysis
4. Conduct literature search and reviews

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, Bioengineering, or other STEM-related disciplines.
2. Strong academic foundation in pharmaceutical development, formulation science, analytical chemistry, or biomedical research.
3. Demonstrated ability to perform laboratory experiments, collect data, and conduct preliminary analysis.
4. Experience in scientific literature review and summarising research findings.
5. Exposure to manuscript writing, scientific presentation, or research grant preparation is an advantage (but not mandatory for junior candidates).
6. Understanding of drug formulation principles, such as solubility, stability, excipient selection, and dosage-form design.
7. Ability to perform or support experimental studies related to formulation development or material characterisation.
8. Familiarity with basic laboratory instruments and techniques (e.g., dissolution apparatus, balances, mixers, analytical tools like HPLC/UV-Vis—experience preferred but can be trained).
9. Competence in data collection, quantitative analysis, and preparation of research documentation.
10. Strong analytical and critical-thinking ability in a scientific research environment.
11. Must participate in hands-on research work, data interpretation, and preparation of R&D outputs.
