Minimum qualification

Education & Other Credentials

• Bachelor of Science in a related field (Microbiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Plant Biology, Plant Pathology) or an equivalent 4-5 years of hands-on laboratory experience in an industrial or academic setting.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Experience with RNA manipulation and in vitro cell-based techniques, including in vitro transcription, insect cell culture, RNA virion isolation, transfection, cell-based functional assays, and Northern/Western blotting.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to clearly interpret and follow SOPs and laboratory procedures.
• Detail-oriented and analytical, with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Diligence, resourcefulness, and adaptability in the face of unexpected and rapid developments
• Demonstrated ability to multitask with effective planning and organizational skills, ensuring project deadlines are met.

Responsibilities:

• Perform RNA/DNA Isolations in plant tissues, high-fidelity PCRs, cloning, plasmid isolations, and viral inoculations
• Review and analyze data, prepare reports, and communicate experimental results to Researchers.
• Coordinate and execute assigned tasks by interacting with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Maintain thorough documentation of all experimental procedures and data in laboratory notebook.

Starting salary is $55,000. Applicants should include a cover letter and resume.
