Reservations Agent

About the role

Join the dynamic team at Sunway Hotel Big Box as a Reservations Agent. This full-time role is based in Iskandar Puteri, Johor, and plays a key part in delivering an exceptional guest experience from the very first interaction.

What you'll be doing

• Handling room reservations via phone, email, and online platforms accurately and efficiently
• Assisting guests with booking inquiries, room availability, rates, and special requests
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of hotel room types, promotions, packages, and policies
• Coordinating with Front Office, Sales, and Housekeeping teams to ensure seamless guest arrangements
• Managing reservation records and ensuring all details are entered correctly into the system
• Responding promptly and professionally to guest inquiries and requests
• Upselling hotel rooms and services where appropriate
• Ensuring high standards of customer service are consistently delivered

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in reservations, front office, or a customer service role within the hospitality industry
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with guests from diverse backgrounds
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Good problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle guest requests efficiently
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional languages are an advantage
• Familiarity with hotel reservation systems is preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including weekends and public holidays
• A positive, professional, and customer-focused attitude
• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field
