About Tourism Innovation Group

Altitude Tours is one of four brands under Tourism Innovation Group (TIG), a locally owned and operated Queenstown tourism business. Alongside Altitude, TIG runs:

• BLACK NZ — Queenstown's premier luxury tour operator
• Fiordland Tours — Te Anau-based small-group Milford Sound tours and guided day walks
• Tussock Ridge Alpine Soak — our new hot pools project, opening 2027

About the role

We are seeking a detail oriented and organised Reservations & Logistics team member to join our team in Queenstown, focusing on Altitude Tours but also occasionally working across other brands. This is a pivotal role that sits at the heart of our business operations, bridging the gap between our customers booking requirements and seamless tour delivery. You will be responsible for managing reservations, coordinating logistics, and ensuring every guest experience begins the moment they contact us.

Key responsibilities

• Processing and managing customer reservations across multiple booking channels, ensuring accuracy and timely confirmation

• Responding to customer enquiries promptly and professionally, providing detailed information about available tours, pricing, and booking procedures

• Liaising with tour guides, activity providers, and logistics partners to ensure smooth operations

• Handling customer communications regarding confirmations, modifications, cancellations, and special requests

• Payment processing for bookings

• Creating customer manifests for guides for their tours, ensuring everything for the next day is set up to run correctly

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in a reservations or customer-facing role within the hospitality, tourism, or travel industry
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple bookings and logistics simultaneously
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer-focused approach
• Proficiency with reservation systems and booking software (Rezdy) is advantageous
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and data entry
• Problem-solving capabilities and the ability to remain calm under pressure during peak booking periods
• Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing operational needs
• Knowledge of Queenstown, the surrounding region, and local tourism offerings is desirable
• Basic geographical knowledge and understanding of adventure tourism activities would be beneficial
• A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service and creating memorable experiences

This is a 4 day / 32 hour week to start, with scope to move to a 5 day / 40 hour week as the business needs it. You'll work a flexible roster that includes both Saturdays and Sundays, with shifts falling somewhere between 6am and 9pm, based in our Gorge Road office in Queenstown.
