What they need
At The Capital Hotels, we are redefining what hospitality feels like. Modern, meaningful and full of opportunity. We believe great service starts with great people and our team is the heart of everything we do.
Why work for us? At The Capital, you will feel valued, trusted and empowered. We keep things real with no red tape, just doers who make things happen. We recognise talent quickly and promote based on values, not just titles. Here, hard work gets noticed, ideas matter and our people are our everything.
About The Role At The Capital, every guest journey begins with connection. The ResHub Reservationist is the first voice guests hear and often the first impression they form. You will turn enquiries into experiences by providing accurate information, warm service and confident communication that builds trust from the very first interaction. Handling guest enquiries, reservations and bookings across all hotels in the group, you help drive occupancy, strengthen loyalty and uphold our promise of exceptional hospitality. You will be supported by the Reservations Manager.
What you'll do:
- Guest reservations and enquiries: handle incoming calls, emails and online enquiries promptly, accurately and professionally, and convert them into confirmed bookings. Give clear, detailed information on rates, availability, hotel facilities and current promotions, manage group and individual reservations across the portfolio, and handle amendments, cancellations and special requests with efficiency and care
- Revenue and sales support: maximise revenue by promoting room upgrades, packages and additional services, support monthly occupancy, conversion and revenue targets, and follow up on provisional bookings, confirmations and payment requirements
- Systems and administration: capture and update guest and booking details accurately in the reservations system, follow company booking, deposit and payment procedures, and keep your knowledge of hotel products, room types, promotions and operating standards up to date
- Collaboration and communication: liaise closely with hotel front offices, sales and operations teams, resolve booking discrepancies, system errors or guest concerns promptly, and support your team and the Reservations Manager in upholding service standards
What you'll bring:
- Exceptional communication and telephone etiquette
- A guest-first mindset with a flair for sales and service
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data capturing
- The ability to stay calm, efficient and friendly under pressure
- Confidence using reservations systems (e.g. Protel, Opera or a similar PMS/CRS) and MS Office
- A collaborative spirit and willingness to support colleagues and guests alike
Please note that relocation costs will be for your own expense should your application be successful and you reside outside of the city where the Hotel is located.
Other offers great for you!
