Responsibilities

• Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance using tools like Hoyer lifts when necessary
• Monitor residents’ vital signs such as blood pressure and pulse to ensure health stability
• Assist with medication administration following proper protocols and documentation procedures using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Provide compassionate dementia and Alzheimer's care by implementing memory care techniques and behavior management strategies
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
• Engage residents through social activities, group outings, or recreational programs to promote socialization and mental stimulation
• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols, performing cleaning duties, and ensuring safety measures are in place

Experience

• Prior experience in long-term care facilities such as nursing homes or retirement homes is highly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people with developmental disabilities or those requiring assisted living support
• Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care techniques, and behavioral management strategies
• Hands-on experience with personal care home responsibilities including assisting with ADLs and providing compassionate caregiving
• Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and record keeping is advantageous
• Valid certification in first aid is desirable; CPR certification is a plus
• Experience operating mobility aids like Hoyer lifts or assisting with transfers safely is beneficial
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, residents, families, and healthcare professionals
