Resident Assistant- Full Time 2nd Shift

Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide high-quality support and assistance to residents. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents while respecting their rights and dignity. This role is essential in delivering long-term care and ensuring that individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia receive the specialized attention they need.

Duties

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance residents' well-being.
• Monitor and document residents' health status, reporting any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment by maintaining hygiene standards and assisting with light housekeeping tasks.
• Support residents in participating in social activities and community engagement to promote their independence.
• Uphold resident rights by advocating for their needs and preferences while fostering a respectful atmosphere.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident's unique requirements.

Experience
Candidates should possess experience or knowledge in the following areas:

• Social work principles related to caregiving.
• Working within group homes or personal care home environments.
• Understanding of long-term care practices and regulations.
• Familiarity with home community care systems and resident rights advocacy.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or providing dementia care is highly desirable.
