Resident Care Aide

Job Summary

Hired Employment Agency is seeking compassionate, dependable, and hardworking Resident Care Aides for a senior living facility located in Kingwood, WV.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for helping others, especially seniors who need assistance with their daily activities. This position requires someone who is patient, attentive, reliable, and committed to providing a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents.

Previous experience working in assisted living, senior care, home health, or a similar healthcare environment is preferred, but we encourage individuals with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn to apply.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, and personal hygiene, as permitted by training and facility policies.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, helping maintain their independence and quality of life.
• Assist residents with mobility, walking, transfers, and positioning as appropriate.
• Help residents during mealtimes, including meal preparation, serving, and feeding assistance when necessary.
• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary living spaces, including resident rooms and common areas.
• Assist with laundry, changing linens, and light housekeeping duties.
• Observe residents for changes in physical condition, behavior, or emotional well-being and report concerns to appropriate staff.
• Respond promptly and professionally to resident requests and needs.
• Assist residents with recreational activities, social events, and daily routines.
• Follow facility policies, safety procedures, infection prevention practices, and resident confidentiality requirements.
• Communicate professionally with residents, family members, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Assist with other daily facility operations and resident support duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous experience in senior living, assisted living, caregiving, or healthcare is preferred.
• CNA certification is a plus but is not necessarily required, depending on the facility's requirements.
• Must demonstrate compassion, patience, professionalism, and respect for elderly individuals.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance.
• Ability to perform physical duties, including prolonged standing, walking, bending, and assisting residents with mobility.
• Must be willing to follow all facility procedures and resident care guidelines.
• Must be able to successfully complete required background checks and any other applicable pre-employment screenings.
• Reliable transportation to and from the facility in Kingwood, WV.
• Flexibility to work assigned shifts, including weekends or holidays when scheduled.
