Official Position Title: T.H.R.I.V.E. Coordinator (Independent Living)

Pay Range: $22- $25 DOE
Full-Time | Hourly, Non-Exempt

At Maple Ridge, managed by Mosaic Management, we believe senior living should be about more than simply filling the day. It should be about creating opportunities for residents to continue learning, building relationships, staying active, contributing to their community, and doing the things that bring purpose and enjoyment to their lives.

We are looking for a creative and engaging T.H.R.I.V.E. Coordinator to lead resident lifestyle programming within our community.

Guided by our T.H.R.I.V.E. Montessori by Mosaic philosophy, this role is responsible for developing meaningful experiences that support the physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being of our residents.

What You Will Do

  • Create Meaningful Programming: Develop and manage a monthly resident engagement calendar based on resident interests, abilities, preferences, and goals.
  • Lead Activities & Events: Plan and facilitate daily, weekly, and monthly programs including fitness, wellness, creative arts, music, educational opportunities, social events, cultural experiences, celebrations, and more.
  • Support Resident Choice & Purpose: Create opportunities for residents to lead programs, participate in clubs and committees, volunteer, contribute to the community, and remain active and independent.
  • Coordinate Outings & Community Connections: Organize resident outings, volunteer opportunities, intergenerational experiences, and partnerships within the surrounding community.
  • Build Community: Partner with residents, families, team members, and community leaders to create events and experiences that bring people together.
  • Welcome New Residents: Help introduce new residents and team members to the T.H.R.I.V.E. Montessori by Mosaic philosophy and the opportunities available within the community.
  • Know Your Residents: Maintain resident biographies, social histories, preferences, and engagement information to help create experiences that are meaningful to each individual.
  • Communicate Resident Life: Create monthly calendars and newsletters and help share resident experiences through community social media and promotional materials.
  • Support Team Engagement: Coordinate employee appreciation activities, recognition programs, spirit weeks, and team-building events.
  • Support & Train the Team: Help team members understand how meaningful resident engagement can be incorporated throughout everyday life in the community.
  • Manage Programming Resources: Coordinate supplies, decorations, materials, and other resources while staying within established budgets.

What We Are Looking For

  • Strong creativity, organization, and planning skills.
  • Create engaging programs and bring new ideas to life.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Connect with residents, families, team members, volunteers, and community partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple programs, events, and priorities at the same time.
  • Comfortable using computers and activity scheduling programs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience working with older adults is preferred.
  • Understanding of activity programming and resident engagement principles.
  • Strong community outreach and promotional skills.
  • Current driver's license required.
  • CPR certification required or ability to obtain certification upon hire.

Physical Requirements

This position is active and involves moving throughout the community. Team members should be able to routinely lift up to 30 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and safely assist residents as needed.

Why This Role Matters

The T.H.R.I.V.E. Coordinator helps shape what everyday life feels like within the community.

This isn't just about creating an activity calendar. It is about getting to know residents, understanding what matters to them, and creating opportunities for people to stay connected, involved, independent, and purposeful.

If you are creative, energetic, organized, and passionate about creating meaningful experiences for older adults, we would love to hear from you.
