Resident Engineer

Responsible in the supervision of the mall’s equipment operations in order to provide the necessary utilities for the operation of the mall. Involves planning and implementation of repairs, maintenance, and replacements of MEPFS equipment and the related systems for the safe and efficient operations of the mall. Ensures compliance of the Mall (establishment) in the standards set forth by the government agencies and local government units.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

MALL HOUSEKEEPING - coordinate with accredited contractor/s for the replacement of high bay busted lighting fixtures and similar items; maintain and clean all EE rooms, AHU rooms, Sub Station (electro Mechanical rooms) and cistern tank

MALL DESIGN - review tenant MEPFS plans to ensure conformance to Mall Construction Guidelines and EDD standards; review tenant MEPFS plans to ensure conformance to Mall Construction Guidelines and EDD standards; join inspection with Design Operations, NDT & Mall Operations regarding Tenant conversion and redevelopment / expansion works; review tenant MEPFS plans to ensure conformance to Mall Construction Guidelines and EDD standards

MALL FACILITIES MANAGEMENT - plan, manage, and implement the operations, repairs and maintenance of mall MEPFS equipment and projects; identify and invite qualified MEPFS Contractors to bid; conduct pre-procurement and pre-bid meetings and receive bids; evaluate bids and recommend award of contract; inspect MEPFS contractors’ work to ensure that the project is being done according to EDD standard specifications; prepare contractors’ accomplishment form for billing; ensure that CMMS PM, Repair and CAPEX work orders are accomplished on time; act as the Pollution Control Officer of the Mall; furnish Mall Ops on the progress of works filed under ESMR for all MEPFS works – monthly report; conduct site inspections with BAO for acceptance on ESMR

MALL UTILITIES ADMINISTRATION - perform and act upon the service request affecting mall utilities such as defective utility meters; conduct regular checks on the efficient provision of mall utilities such as water and electricity; prepare necessary reports analyze results and recommend corrective and preventive actions on mall utilities consumption

TENANT RELATIONS - participate in the conduct of on-site inspections of ongoing construction, renovation (MEPFS only); participate in Tenant safety audits; participate in processes involving egress of Tenants in relation to MEPFS systems; attend to Tenant Service Calls for major MEPFS concerns and those affecting main lines; review of Tenants’ MEPFS plans

SAFETY AND SECURITY - report safety and security findings or deficiencies affecting electromechanical equipment and recommend resolution of identified deficiencies; ensure that the MEPFS system of the mall are in compliance with established standards for safety and security

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• With at least 3 years of experience in Building / Facilities / Property Management
• Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical or Electrical)
• PRC License (Registered Mechanical / Electrical Engineer)
