Resident Engineer

ProSource are recruiting an experienced Resident Engineer to oversee the delivery of a road scheme in County Leitrim. You will provide day-to-day site supervision, ensuring works are completed safely, to specification and in accordance with the contract.

This is a fully flexible role, with scope for the right candidate to take up the role on a temporary contract basis, or on a long-term contract, where you will have further exposure to high profile projects throughout the West of Ireland.

Role

• Supervise contractor activities, inspecting workmanship, materials and testing to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Monitor progress, maintain accurate site records and prepare reports for site and project meetings.
• Review method statements, RAMS and technical submissions, monitoring compliance with Health & Safety requirements.
• Support contract administration, including payment applications, variations and claims, while liaising with stakeholders to resolve site issues.

Requirements

• Bachelors in Civil Engineering
• 4+ years’ experience
• Previous Resident Engineer or Site Engineer experience on civil infrastructure projects; roads, reinstatement, drainage or earthworks experience is highly desirable.
• Current Safe Pass and relevant construction safety qualifications, strong communication and reporting skills, and sound Health & Safety knowledge. Chartered status or progress towards it is advantageous.
