Resident Engineer

Job Summary

You will lead and supervise the construction of luxurious bungalows, ensuring quality and safety standards across demolition, ERSS, structural reinforced concrete, and steel works. You will monitor progress, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and maintain comprehensive engineering records to drive project success.

Responsibilities

Lead supervision of demolition activities to ensure safe and compliant execution on site

Oversee ERSS (Earth Retaining and Stabilizing Structures) works to maintain structural integrity and safety

Manage structural reinforced concrete (RC) works to meet design specifications and quality standards

Supervise structural steel work, including fabrication and erection, to ensure precision and compliance with engineering requirements

Coordinate and verify all necessary structural tests to validate construction quality and safety

Monitor construction progress and produce detailed reports to inform project stakeholders

Maintain and update comprehensive records of all engineering works and property documentation

Attend and actively contribute to site, progress, variation, and coordination meetings to facilitate effective communication and problem-solving

Apply leadership skills to guide multidisciplinary teams and resolve on-site challenges efficiently

Collaborate with Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) teams to support coordination efforts and optimize construction workflows (advantageous skill)

MSE Engineering and Management Consultants was established on 1st January 1983; the Principals are Alec Chew Khek Han and John Lim Kheng Hock. Both partners have more than four decade of practical experience in the administration of various civil and structural engineering works. Previous projects undertaken by the partners range from flyovers, water supply schemes, low cost housing, hotels, hospitals, churches, high rise condominiums, airport buildings, institutional and commercial buildings, and industrial complexes. The firm also offers management services to contractors undertaking government projects. Since 200, a consortium of association has been formed with world renowned engineer Dr. Alfred Yee of Precast Design Consultants who now shares an office with us to serve a wider spectrum of clientele requiring varied engineering consultation and management. The ultimate aim is to give excellence of service to our clientele.
