NV5 is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer / Construction Manager to support an upcoming public works construction project in Palmdale, California.

We are looking for a motivated professional with a strong background in construction management, field operations, inspection oversight, and delivery of public infrastructure projects.

Minimum Qualifications

* California Registered Professional Civil Engineer (PE) or Certified Construction Manager (CM)

* Minimum 8 years of experience managing similar construction projects

* Experience in public works, civil construction, site development, utilities, concrete improvements, and infrastructure

* Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, schedules, and contract administration

* Experience coordinating with municipal agencies, contractors, inspectors, and materials testing personnel

* Ability to manage daily construction operations, change orders, progress payments, and project documentation

Position Responsibilities

* Provide day-to-day construction management and field oversight

* Coordinate with the City, contractor, and project stakeholders

* Monitor schedule, quality, safety, and contract compliance

* Supervise construction inspection and materials testing activities

* Review RFIs, submittals, progress payments, and change orders

* Maintain accurate project records and reporting
