Resident Maintenance Technician / Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a dependable, hands-on Resident Manager / Maintenance Technician to live on-site and oversee day-to-day operations of a 55-unit residential community in Palmdale. This role combines property management duties with hands-on maintenance work and includes an on-site unit as part of compensation.

MAINTENANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete resident service requests promptly and professionally
• Prepare vacant units for move-in — turns, patching, painting, and repairs
• Diagnose and repair plumbing or electrical issues
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine property inspections
• Maintain clean, safe common areas and shared spaces
• Repair doors, locks, cabinets, fixtures, and hardware
• Coordinate with outside vendors for specialized or larger-scope repairs
• Respond to after-hours emergency maintenance as needed

PROPERTY MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for residents
• Show vacant units
• Handle move-ins and move-outs
• Collect rent
• Enforce community policies and lease terms consistently and fairly
• Complete daily reports and required paperwork accurately and on time

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for a candidate with verifiable experience in both property maintenance and management

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on apartment maintenance experience
• Prior experience as a Resident Manager or on-site property management
• Experience completing unit turns — patching, painting, cleaning, and make-ready work
• Bilingual in English and Spanish — strongly preferred
• Organized and detail-oriented — able to stay on top of work orders and resident needs
• Valid California driver's license and reliable personal transportation
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Employment contingent upon successful background check and employment verification
