Resident Services Coordinator

Duties

• Act as the main liaison between residents and community management, addressing inquiries and resolving concerns promptly
• Coordinate access for residents, visitors, service providers, and contractors while maintaining security protocols
• Assist residents with social service needs by identifying resources related to Medicaid, Medicare, Section 8 housing, child welfare, and workforce development programs
• Support residents in crisis situations through intervention techniques such as motivational interviewing and crisis management strategies
• Conduct outreach to culturally diverse communities to promote available services and foster inclusive engagement
• Provide guidance on behavioral health issues and coordinate referrals for addiction counseling or mental health support when needed
• Maintain accurate case management records and document all interactions in compliance with privacy regulations
• Facilitate resident events and programs that encourage community involvement and personal development
• Supervise or mentor junior staff or volunteers involved in resident support activities

Requirements

• Proven experience in social services, case management or related fields working with diverse populations including seniors and individuals with disabilities
• Strong knowledge of crisis intervention, crisis management, behavioral health practices, and social work principles
• Certification in CPR and First Aid; experience in emergency response protocols is highly desirable
• Bilingual abilities to serve multilingual communities effectively are preferred
• Familiarity with Medicaid, Medicare, Section 8 housing programs, and other social service resources
• Excellent written communication skills for documentation and reporting purposes
• Experience working with culturally diverse communities and understanding of cultural competency principles
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy while maintaining professionalism under pressure
• Supervisory experience or mentoring skills that support team development is a plus
• Knowledge of child welfare services, childcare support systems, and working with geriatric populations is advantageous

Pay: $6.00 - $8.00 per hour
