Resident Structural Engineer

Take structural engineering beyond the drawings and play a key role in translating design intent into high-quality construction. As Resident Structural Engineer, you will provide technical oversight on site while working closely with design teams, contractors and project stakeholders.

You will review structural works, help resolve technical issues and provide an important connection between engineering design and construction. The role provides excellent exposure to real-world constructability and the practical consequences of structural design decisions.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Monitor structural works against approved design information and technical requirements.
• Review construction activities and structural details for alignment with design intent.
• Identify technical discrepancies, coordination issues and constructability challenges.
• Support resolution of structural queries arising during construction.
• Coordinate with design engineers, contractors and wider project disciplines.
• Participate in site inspections, technical meetings and design reviews.
• Maintain records of engineering observations, technical issues and agreed actions.

Essential Skills

• Strong structural engineering knowledge and relevant project delivery experience.
• Understanding of structural steel, concrete and foundation solutions.
• Ability to interpret structural drawings, calculations and technical information.
