What they need

About WeedeN

WeedeN is one of Thailand's largest cannabis retail networks, operating 30+ stores across Bangkok, Phuket, Pattaya, Koh Samui, and other major destinations. We serve both Thai customers and the international community that has made Thailand the most exciting cannabis market in Asia.

We are a Cannabis Retailer with a full corporate stack: Legal, HR, Finance, Commercial, Construction, IT, Training. We run multiple legal entities, full payroll compliance, work permit infrastructure for international talent, and proper governance under Thai labor and commercial law.

When the regulatory landscape shifts, we don't panic. We adapt. The new Ministerial Regulation No. 2 (B.E. 2569), effective 30 April 2026, is a turning point for our industry. Hundreds of small dispensaries will exit the market in the coming year. WeedeN will not just survive this transition, we will lead it. That requires the right professionals on board, starting now.

Why this role exists

The new regulation requires every cannabis dispensary selling flower products to have a qualified practitioner on-site throughout operating hours. For us, this is not a compliance checkbox. It is a chance to elevate the customer experience, deliver genuine therapeutic value, and build the most credible cannabis retail brand in Thailand.

You will be the face of professional care inside the store. You make sure every customer who walks out with a product walks out with the right product, the right guidance, and the right expectations.

Where we are going

Our 3-year vision: become the cannabis retailer that defines what professional, legal, and customer-focused looks like in Southeast Asia. That means:

  • Tighter integration between traditional medicine knowledge and modern retail experience
  • A practitioner team recognized as the most qualified in the industry
  • Clear career paths from store to region to corporate Medical Affairs
  • A training academy in partnership with academic institutions
  • Footprint expansion that follows regulation, not the other way around

Joining now means joining before the build-out is complete. The people who shape it are the people who arrive in the next 6 months.

What you'll actually do

  1. Be on-site during store operating hours as the qualified practitioner of record under the new regulation
  2. Conduct customer consultations before flower product purchases, covering suitability, indications, contraindications, and dosage guidance
  3. Document consultations and dispensing records to company and regulatory standards
  4. Work alongside budtenders to raise the consultation quality of the entire store
  5. Flag compliance issues to the Legal & Compliance team
  6. Support government inspections when authorities visit your branch
  7. Contribute to training material development for store operations
  8. Partner with the Medical Affairs function (forming) on protocol design and continuous improvement

What we're looking for

Required

  • Active license in Thai Traditional Medicine (เวชกรรมไทย) or Applied Thai Traditional Medicine (แพทย์แผนไทยประยุกต์)
  • Current registration with the Thai Traditional Medical Council
  • Comfortable with cannabis as both a wellness and recreational product within the legal framework
  • Strong communication skills, able to explain complex topics simply and warmly
  • Working knowledge of PDPA and patient/customer data handling

Strongly preferred

  • Experience in medical cannabis clinics or hospital-based cannabis programs
  • Completed training from the Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine
  • Conversational English, especially for tourist-heavy locations
  • Retail or customer-facing experience
  • Comfort with digital tools (POS systems, internal apps, basic spreadsheets)

Other offers great for you!
