Residential Care Practitioner

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Care Practitioner to join our team, committed to providing exceptional support and care to children and young people in a residential setting. This vital role involves creating a safe, nurturing environment where young individuals can thrive, develop positive relationships, and achieve their full potential. Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care tailored to each child's individual needs, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
• Develop and implement personalized care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to promote positive development outcomes
• Foster trusting relationships through effective communication, active listening, and empathetic support
• Supervise daily activities, including educational pursuits, recreational activities, and personal routines
• Maintain accurate records of care provided, incidents, and progress notes in accordance with organizational policies
• Support children with daily tasks such as meal preparation, hygiene routines, and emotional regulation strategies
• Drive company vehicles as needed for outings or appointments while adhering to safety protocols

Requirements

• Proven experience working with children or young people in a care or educational setting
• Valid driving license with a clean driving record to facilitate transportation needs
• Strong childcare skills combined with excellent communication abilities to engage effectively with children and colleagues
• Ability to create and follow detailed care plans that address individual needs and goals
• Proficiency in using IT systems for record keeping, reporting, and communication purposes
• Resilience, patience, and a positive attitude when handling challenging situations or behaviors
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, or overnight stays as required

Pay: £25,420.00-£35,000.00 per year
