Residential Construction - Project Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to lead and coordinate multiple sub crews on complex residential construction projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee construction activities, manage project schedules, and ensure the successful delivery of large-scale projects within budget and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction management experience, and proficiency with industry-standard project management software. This candidate will have relationships with framing carpenters, installers, trim carpenters, as well as other sub specialties needed for residential remodeling.

Duties

• Lead and manage multiple sub crews, ensuring efficient coordination across all phases of construction projects.
• Build with crews or oversee build subcontractors, visiting sites regularly for high touch quality control
• Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using Monday.com database, One Drive
• Oversee construction plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate implementation on site.
• Monitor project budgets and costs with office team; implement cost control measures as needed.
• Ensure construction regulatory compliance by adhering to local codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Manage contracts, change orders, and procurement processes through Procore or Prolog systems.
• Conduct regular site inspections for subbed out projects to ensure quality standards are met and safety protocols are followed.
• Utilize construction scheduling techniques to optimize workflow and resource allocation across crews.
• Communicate with head office for any unforeseen issues that result in the need for change orders, remediations or upcharges
• Participate in project meetings, prepare progress reports, and communicate project status effectively to stakeholders.
• Manage project documentation including daily logs, incident reports, and compliance records using construction management software tools.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing residential remodeling and construction projects with multiple sub crews.
• Strong knowledge of construction estimating, cost management, and project coordination practices.
• Proficiency with industry-standard software such as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Extensive construction site experience with a solid understanding of construction regulations and safety standards.
• Demonstrated leadership skills in managing teams within a construction management role; excellent time management abilities.
• Strong relationships with subcontractors who can perform high quality frame carpentry, cabinet installation, tub, vanity and toilet installation for reasonable costs
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Construction code knowledge
• Ability to manage complex schedules effectively.

This is a salaried position, minimum 40 hours per week. Salary commensurate with experience. Benefits are negotiable.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
