Residential Designer/Drafty

About the role

Mill Group WA is looking for an experienced Residential Designer / Draftsperson to join our growing residential construction and property development team. You will be responsible for taking projects from concept through to complete working drawings and approvals.

Key responsibilities

• Preliminary and concept designs
• Working drawings and construction documentation
• Site-specific residential designs
• Design amendments and client changes
• Planning and approval drawings
• Coordinating surveys, engineering and consultant information
• Reviewing setbacks, site constraints and developer requirements
• Working closely with estimating, scheduling and construction teams

About you

• Minimum 3 years' residential drafting/design experience
• Strong knowledge of the WA residential construction industry
• Proven experience producing complete working drawing packages
• Good understanding of residential construction, NCC and planning requirements
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Practical, organised and solutions-focused approach
• Experience in custom homes, grouped housing, developments, medium-density residential projects and NDIS is highly regarded
