Residential Hard Surface Flooring Installer

ATON Infrastructure Corporation is seeking experienced Residential Flooring Installers to support residential flooring installation projects throughout the San Antonio area.

We are looking for dependable, skilled installers who can efficiently complete residential flooring projects from start to finish, including moving furniture, removing existing flooring, preparing subfloors, installing new flooring, completing trim work, cleaning the work area, and returning furniture to its original location.

Efficiency, workmanship, and reliability are essential. Many assignments involve completing a typical single-room LVP, LVT, or laminate flooring installation within one workday, including preparation and finishing.

Most projects will be located in San Antonio and surrounding communities. Occasional assignments may require travel to locations as far as Austin, Texas.

Key Responsibilities

• Install luxury vinyl plank (LVP), luxury vinyl tile (LVT), laminate, engineered wood, and other hard-surface flooring.
• Move and protect household furniture and movable appliances before installation.
• Remove existing flooring materials and properly prepare surfaces.
• Inspect subfloors and perform minor patching, repairs, and leveling as required.
• Measure, lay out, cut, fit, and install flooring according to manufacturer specifications.
• Install transitions, reducers, thresholds, quarter-round, shoe molding, and baseboards.
• Complete finishing details, including nail-hole filling and caulking.
• Return furniture and movable appliances to their designated locations after installation.
• Perform moisture testing and complete required installation documentation.
• Take before, during, and after installation photographs.
• Protect customer property and maintain clean, organized work areas.
• Load, unload, and properly handle tools, equipment, and flooring materials.
• Complete assigned installations efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
• Report unexpected job-site conditions or installation issues promptly.
• Work cooperatively with other crew members to complete projects within scheduled timeframes.
• Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, and crew members.

Required Qualifications

• Previous hands-on residential hard-surface flooring installation experience.
• Experience installing LVP, LVT, laminate, or similar flooring materials.
• Ability to perform the complete installation process, including floor preparation, installation, trim, and cleanup.
• Experience working in occupied homes, including furniture moving and property protection.
• Ability to complete typical single-room flooring installations within a one-day schedule when project conditions permit.
• Knowledge of subfloor preparation, flooring transitions, and finish trim.
• Proficiency with common flooring installation tools and equipment.
• Ability to follow work orders, installation requirements, and manufacturer specifications.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and assist with moving heavier furniture using appropriate equipment and team lifting.
• Dependable attendance, strong work ethic, and attention to detail.
• Professional appearance and conduct when working in customers' homes.
• Ability to work effectively as part of an installation crew.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to project locations as far as Austin, TX.
• Availability for early-morning starts when required.

• High-volume residential flooring installation.
• Ceramic and porcelain tile installation.

• Moisture testing and flooring documentation.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
